Gutter Repair and Maintenance Process
1. Inspection and Evaluation
Gutter repairs is one of our cornerstone services at Weatherguard. Our experienced consultants start the gutter repair process by carefully inspecting the entire eavestrough system, assessing any external or interior water damage, providing a grade to the performance of your system. As part of inspection, we also look for any damage done to the siding or soffits, as well as rotten facia board. From there, we discuss the best maintenance approach for the angle and size of the roof to ensure good performance, structural stability and overall building protection. We specialize in repairing:
Built-in and/or Hidden Gutter Systems
2. Renovation
As part of our repair process our goal is to optimize the system for maximum water flow and debris control. This includes correcting the slope of the system, replacing corners, eliminating leaky seals, cleaning / unclogging outlets, installing larger outlets (when necessary) reattaching or replacing downpipes, fixing sections of gutter that may have been damaged by excessive snowfall or freezing conditions. If the building or home is near many neighbouring trees, we may encourage the installation of a leaf protection system that will prevent clogging, and reduce the need for regular gutter cleaning (typical of homes we see in West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Langley).
